David van der Linden (1983) is involved in the project as a postdoctoral researcher, focussing on the mobility of artists. From 2008 until 2012 he was a PhD candidate at Utrecht University, where he has just completed his dissertation ‘Experiencing Exile: Huguenot Refugees in the Dutch Republic, 1680-1700’. He holds an MA degree in History and a BA degree in Language and Culture Studies, both from Utrecht University, and has studied in the United States, Britain, and France. His wider research interests include the religious and cultural history of France, England and the Low Countries, but he is particularly fascinated by (religious) migration waves, book culture, and early modern history-writing.
